The post below reminded me of something that happened Christmas day. The stars and planets must have aligned perfectly that day or something. I blame Jesus. I had driven to my grandparents house Christmas morning to meet up with the family. I pulled into the driveway and shut the car off then started to get out of the car. As is my normal exting procedure, I flipped the lock switch into the locked position as I pushed the door open to get out. I had my keys in my right hand and pushed the door shut with that hand. As I took one step away from my car I realized my keys were no longer in my hand. I looked around on the ground for them , but didn't see them anywhere. Then I noticed my door wasn't completely shut. I looked into the crack of the door and just to the right of the door handle were my keys! Lodged between the door and the door jamb!! The door managed to snatch the keys from my hand(grasshopper?) AND somehow manage to get stuck before they had time to drop to the ground. The door was locked so I couldn't open it. It had closed too far to pull the keys out and as I peered into the crack at them I think I heard the faint sound of laughter coming from the keys. Maybe it was my imagination. So after a long search for a metal coat hanger I was able to maneuver it inside and flip the lock switch and free the keys. Disaster was narrowly averted. Well, not really disaster, but everyone got a good laugh at my expense from it.
